Building new traditions are so wonderful any season. Last year the board started to gather recommendations on the local businesses and organizations for everyone wrapping up any holiday shopping or making notes for any treats for yourself!
Worcester Wares
Address: 160 Green Street T-G 5 · In Worcester Public Market
Shopping: In person & online
I might be a little biased about Worcester Wares, but I've always loved shopping here, and now, working here. Jess has some awesome new items for the holiday at all price ranges. The new neighborhood blanket is so cool, so soft, and makes you want to snuggle with a movie and hot chocolate (in your Worcester ceramic mug) all winter long. If you're looking something nostalgic, try a Scratch sticker or Smile TV ornament. No matter what, you'll find something for anyone. - Kim Driscoll (President)
Off the Common Antiques
Address: 4 Worcester St, Grafton, Massachusetts 01519, United States
Shopping: In-person
This store has such a fun collection of antiques and handmade gifts by local crafters.
Truth Organic Spa
Address: 74 North Main St, N Grafton · 100 Worcester St, N Grafton
Shopping/Booking: In-person & online
Truth tragically had a fire in November that destroyed their building. Through the outpouring of support by the community, they are able to remain open by offering services and classes at other establishments in town willing to share space. Purchasing a gift card will help Truth so much during this difficult time and they offer incredible services!
Recommendations from Catrina Gardner (Vice President)
The Tragic Whale
Shopping: Online or in-person at Burncoat Center for Arts & Wellness & Crompton Collective
I love the silk scrunchies and wallets by The Tragic Whale, there are so many cute patterns! She also donates 5% of all sales to charitable causes and 10% of sales from her Pride collection to The Trevor Project. Shopping for cute handmade items and giving back at the same time - win, win! - Veronica Basdeo (Administrative Director)
Maker to Main
Address: 328 Main Street Worcester, MA 01608
Shopping: In-person & online
I love making a good basket, and Maker's tote bags are perfect to put together a mix of their local flowers, coffee, and candy for my mom (she's a vegan gal and the Lake Champlain treats are amazing). Bonus, it's the perfect spot to get any last minute produce and beers when running late to a holiday party!
Overseasoned
Shopping: Online or at event pop-ups
I've been shopping Amy's business for years and her line of tea towels are my usual go to's for friends that have recently got a new place. Several of her clothing/home goods benefit organizations like Sister Song & the Lilith Fund, which is a major plus for me!
Recommendations from Gillian Murphy (Membership Director).
deadhorse hill
Address: 281 Main St, Worcester
Shopping: In-person or online for wine/merchandise
I have never had a bad meal at deadhorse hill and their selection of wine always presents a great space for gift ideas.
Burncoat Center for Arts & Wellness
Address: 78 Burncoat St, Worcester
Shopping: In-person
BCAW is a gem in the city for anyone looking to support some of our local maker talent.
Topical Bath Body
Not only is Tropical Bath Body owned by a YPWA member, but the products are great and she offers creative gift ideas for kids, too!
Recommendations from Giselle Rivera-Flores (Marketing & PR Director).

Plant Ward sells all sizes and variety of plants, definitely stop in and check out all their options!
Worcester Animal Rescue League

Recommendations from Jenn Zajac (Sponsorship Director).
K Sense Co
Shopping: Online
K Sense Co. is Worcester's First Eco Conscious Gift Boutique. Their mission is to bring sustainable products to life, through repurposing, reusing. and reducing our carbon footprint one step at a time!
Recommendation by Katherine Aguilar (Community Outreach & Inclusion Director).
We hope you enjoyed this year's recommendations! We are lucky to have wonderful local businesses that are YPWA members, venue and vendor partners, and supporters. Good luck with any remaining shopping or donating, and feel free to leave a comment with your favorite present you've picked up this season.
