Fit February

Join the YPWA as we kick off 2017 with a nod towards health and fitness with our four part series – Fit February! We have arranged for free, YPWA-only fitness classes with four amazing female-owned studios in Worcester County offering an exciting array of today’s hottest fitness classes. At the end of each class, we’ll be raffling off a prize package and for each class you attend, you’ll be entered to win our grand prize Fit February raffle!
February 9, 6:00 pm: Our first class will be a self-defense class at America’s Best Defense Shrewsbury. America’s Best Defense Krav Maga-style self-defense classes offer no-nonsense, easy to learn, practical methods self-defense techniques. You will gain the skills, strength, and coordination you need to protect yourself and your loved ones. Krav Maga workouts are fun, and because you can go at your own pace, your experience or fitness level doesn’t matter.
February 13, 6:30 pm: Our second class will be a boot camp class at NV Fitness in Worcester. NV Fitness and Training only has one objective: creating the perfect fitness experience for you. If you are looking for lasting results and world-class coaches who are fun and motivating then you’ve found your match. The NV coaches will break it down into strength training, endurance, cardio, agility and metabolic conditioning!
February 21, 5:30 pm: Are you ready to party yourself into shape? Join us at Fit FRIENDzy Studios in Shrewsbury for a fun high-energy Zumba class! No rhythm? No problem! Studio Owner and Instructor Lauren will walk us through the steps to becoming a Zumba pro, and you are guaranteed to burn some serious calories along the way. 
February 26, 2:00 pm: For the last of our private fitness classes, we will be taking a hot Vinyasa yoga class at Hot Power Yoga Center in Worcester. The word Vinyasa means “linking breath to movement.” Vinyasa yoga is sometimes referred to as flow yoga since students flow from pose to pose in this style of class. Physically, sweat expels toxins and re-energizes your body.  Heating the room also relaxes the muscles. When our bodies relax physically then we also relax mentally.
