If you don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and possibly getting a little paint in your hair, please join us on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the Annual YPWA ThanksGIVING Event presented by Kaloutas Painting!
This year we will be volunteering at Rainbow Child Development Center, a nonprofit school that provides year-round educational and therapeutic programs and services to some of the most at-risk children in Worcester, from infancy to age 13. As with many schools, money, time, and resources are stretched thin. This is where the YPWA can help! Cleaning, scrubbing and painting – we’ll do it all to make this school shine again and give the students a clean, safe, and bright place to learn.
Refreshments and YPWA t-shirts will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.
We’re also asking volunteers to kindly consider bringing a school supply donation on our day of service. The teachers of Rainbow have provided the following list of their most in-need items:
- Rolls of masking tape or painters tape
- Chubby writing pencils
- Watercolor art pads
- Tissue paper (any colors)
- Brown paper lunch bags
We hope you’ll join us and our sponsors, Kaloutas Painting and Cutler Associates, Inc. on November 5th. Use our online form to RSVP by Saturday, October 29th. Limited space is available. Feel free to email us with any questions!
